6th and 8th grade students will be going through scoliosis screening during connections time on October 14th unless they have an "opt out" form. Please see the attached form for more info and sign if you do NOT wish your child to be screened.
Hope you are having a wonderful break! I just discovered a wonderful opportunity! We have some wonderful teachers here at Lost Mountain that would benefit greatly. Please read below to check it out!
Superior Plumbing and the Marietta Daily Journal (MDJ) have teamed up to give a local teacher, from Kindergarten to 12th grade, an iPad each week of the 2015-2016 school year. The first winner will be announced the week of October 1, 2015 and then consecutively each week through the end of May, 2016. Parents and students can go to http://mdj.secondstreetapp.com/2015_apple_teacher/ to nominate a teacher. Entries can also be submitted by visiting the MDJ online @ www.mdjonline.com and clicking on the “Apple for Teachers” icon on the right rail. The Marietta Daily Journal staff will select a winner from the nominations each week and present the iPad to the winner. A photo of the weekly winner with their students will appear in the Marietta Daily Journal print and online editions. The MDJ advises any CCSD staff who would like to participate, that they write a brief statement, 100 words or less, explaining why they think the person deserves to be one of The Marietta Daily Journal and Superior Plumbing’s “Apple for your Teacher” weekly winners. Questions can be directed to the MDJ in care of this email address: [email protected] . We have three on-line fundraisers set up to benefit our LMMS Rally efforts. Perhaps you might want to get some early holiday shopping done & support LMMS Rally Week. We may have one additional on-line campaign coming from another LMMS mom. In case anyone wonders, all of these were set up by someone affiliated with LMMS reaching out to me (not me seeking them out).

She is doing a bulk order to reduce S&H costs. https://jammingwithjaime.jamberry.com/party/?uid=ea13d415-001b-49ef-ba13-40786f67c59a Pampered Chef (Jadon Haney’s mom/7th grade) – 10-15% of all sales go to our efforts (depending on how much is ordered through the link) https://www.pamperedchef.com/pws/terihaney/guest-landing/8928584776859 (If the link doesn't work for some reason, please just list Jennifer Dawson as the chairperson when they are searching for the show.)
