Hello Lost Mountain!
I am pleased to announce that we have TWO students whose art work will represent the STATE OF GEORGIA during youth art month. Emma Martinez and Sarah Margate both have artwork chosen to be on the Georgia Flag on display at the NAEA convention in New York! Only 8 students in all of Georgia were chosen!! LMMS work is in the upper right and lower left. Remember, students need to have a large eraser and a sketchbook by TODAY. Sketchbooks should be 8.5x11 or 9x12. Students can make or buy sketchbooks, or get one through the school. Please let Mrs. Denison know if you are having problems getting a sketchbook; contact me at [email protected]
30 of our 6th grade students from last quarter will be featured in a collaborative art show at the Big Shanty Art Station. This show is called "Makers of the Mask!" This show is all ages and features work made from Harrison High School students along with all its feeder schools. There will be many different interpretations of Mask artwork at the show. We hope you can check it out!
The t-shirt contest has been extended and we need more design entries!! Remember, these designs should be using only TWO colors. Sometimes with t-shirt designs, less is more. Attached you will find some simplified world images to help get you started if needed. Also, attached is a template for the t-shirt, but if you need to draw or design it larger, feel free to do so.
Thank you to all who came out to view last week's art show. The artwork will remain up in the hallways for the next week and then be returned to the students. I am attaching twitter photographs from the show below. Enjoy!
