Students have begun creating their designs for the copper repousse project! Students will be able to choose from 3 different projects after they finish their Koi Fish Drawing for their final project. They could choose an Op Art Line Design, a Radial Balance collage, or a Visual Journal.
Students began a printmaking unit today focusing on insects and flowers as subject matter.
Today in seventh grade, we discussed how to create value change within our tropical reef paintings. Students will begin with a pale, wet-on-wet application of color.
They will then mix up a darker version of the color to add around the sides to give it some shadows and depth. Notice how water has been added in the third photo to blend the dark line into the original color. Continue adding darker values to create depth and shadows until the area is complete. |
