6th Grade students are beginning to work on a relief sculpture mask looking at the artwork from Latin America for inspiration.
We have been creating fabulous paper sculptures for the past few days. Students will get to take these home today, unless they are selected for the honor of being in the display case!
Students will use 3 shades of chalk pastel to add shadows to the background of their leaf compositions. Today and tomorrow we are collecting leaves to use for our next project, Leaf Drawings! Students will create a multi-media artwork where they will start by drawings leaves from life in class.
6th grade's final project this 9 weeks is part of a collaborative artwork. They will be creating a Zentangle letter that will be cut out and used to spell out the 8 LMMS Character words. These will be pieced together to create a larger artwork later this year.
Our current paper bird collage looks at two artists for us to get inspiration. We are looking at the artist Charlie Harper as inspiration for our bird images, and Rex Ray as inspiration for our back ground designs. Materials Needed:Students are required to bring several wooden pencils and their agenda every day. Students also need to bring in the following to be kept in class:
